With February comes the Month-O-Love! And that is no different at made with love (and paper). Our design team always make love with paper!! Ha! I have a lot to share with you. (I am also spreading the love here by advertising some of my favorite craft suppliers.)

February is about Valentnes. We hope our projects inspire you to create some paper love for the people in your life.
theme: love is in the air
requirements: hearts, ink, decorative edging (from scissors, punches, die cuts, etc), and a sentiment

Happy Valentine's Day from Krista's Paper Cafe and made with love (and paper).

So first I made these pillow favor boxes. I designed the box cut file myself. Not only did I forget half the elements, I do not like how they turned out. I do adore the little buttons that I attached with a small safety pin. The button can be removed and worn on your shirt pocket. I purchased the darling, hand made buttons from Inna at OctoButton. Additionally, the digi sentiments are created by Regina at The Cutting Cafe and the Bee is a cut file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.

Look at these darling buttons--as well as the way that Inna packages them!

My second try brought me closer to the assignment of the month. I made Valentine cards that do not open--they are one-sided. The idea is that your postage is less. Plus I think cards that don't open are very smart. Otherwise, you have two wasted sides of the card. You can write your sentiment on the back. Traditional children's Vday cards are made that way. Some of these cards met the design team requirements, some not. But I did have a lot of fun making these. Again, the digi stamps are from The Cutting Cafe. I am exchanging these in swap at Karle's Passion paper crafting group.

Then, while I was at it and having so much fun, I made these adorable book marks or tags. I used The Cutting Cafe digis. I love the colors and how they turned out.

Lastly, I drew up these heart lockets as well as the keys with my Pazzels software. I think I will put them to use on a card with other embellies. If you have a Pazzles and would like the WPC file for free, let me know. I hope you enjoyed all my Valentines.

Last week I pieced critters and printed digi stamps. Early this week I made a bundle of Valentine cards. I had so much fun! I really haven't felt creative in a while. I had some great designs from various artists to work with. That helped.
I am not going to put these cards in my Etsy shop as Vday is less then 5 days away. But if you see something here that you like, do let me know. And, I do have more in my shop, Krista's Paper Cafe.

If you want to know which artist is responsible for a particular cut file or digi stamp, ask me.

Digi Stamps
The Cutting Cafe, The Girl Creative and Krista's Paper Cafe (that's me!)

Cut Files
Designs on Cloud 9, The Cutting Cafe, ScrappyDew, Treasure Box Designs, Scraptastical Kreations by Kristy, and Krista's Paper Cafe (me again!)

There are a LOT of pictures. If you do not want to scroll through the post, you may watch a lovely video instead. Either way, I do love to hear your critques and comments. Have fun. Do enjoy. Tell me which is your favorite!!

One more cute (and delicious) way to say I love you . . .

I think I am getting the hang of this scrapbook thing! I still like it simple. I prefer that the focus be on the event in the pictures--not all the embellishing.

I created this layout just in time for Valentine's Day. Although, it can be used for any sweet occasion.

I created the strawberries and the page title myself. The round frame with flourish and flower are a cut file from SVG Attic. I used the flourish throughout the spread, tying the frames together with that same element. The red is pretty deep and I hope it comes through in the photos. The background paper is a pale green with inlaid silver foil flowers. You will see that the ribbons are loose in the photos. The idea is that the ribbon and the flourishes will go on top of each picture. So use your imagination.

As I am still new at scrapping, I invite your feedback. Ha! I can change this one because nothing is adhered! I was wondering if I should add white prima flowers?? Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

I am entering this layout in the current contest at SVG Attic. The team there has invited us to create any type of project using at least one element from an SVG Attic file and use glitter or metallic accents.

Sweet Heart Valentine’s Day Blog Hop
This hop is hosted by Miss Denise at Designs from My Heart. This hop runs Monday to Wednesday (Feb 14 to 16). If you came from Dianne's Scrappy Creations, you are on the right path.

On this Hop we'll show you Valentine's Day cards that we would like to receive from our sweetie. I know, love is strange! Admit it! Sometimes your honey needs a push for those special occasions. Mine does! (I start planning my own birthday weeks in advance!)

Yes, we know that they love us. But (there's always a but) . . . We do appreciate a tangible reminder now and then! Cards. Latte. Chocolate. Flowers. Diamonds. . . . Crafting Goodies!

I thought I should do my part. No, not give myself a card signed by my groom! I thought, perhaps I need to show him a little lovin. You know, set an example. My hubby is self-employed and we have 3 kids. We do not get much down time together. So, I think I will take him out for coffee. Just the two of us!! Time alone.

I will start our "date" with this card. I created both elements myself: I drew the cut file and created the digital stamp. I used Pazzles' Inspiration personal cutter and Adobe Illustrator for this design.

The cups and saucers are cut from embossed paper--classy. Here I went with a purple color set. A lightly striped green/white/purple paper is backed by purple paper and finished off with the "steam" printed in purple as well!

Enjoy this cozy cup of Latte for two. I do have two cards of the same available in the Valentine section of my Paper Cafe. (You can use them for other occasions! Hint, Hint!)

I invite you to your view my previous post. It also has a "Valentine & Latte" theme. But do draw your attention to the paper flowers. It is really the first time I have made more then one flower at a time. I am so pleased with how it turned out. Must be the paper--Core'dinations!!

Good Early Monday Morning! But we WILL be here all week, hopping hoping to inspire you for Valentine's Day. Join fans of Treasure Box Designs as we use their fabulous paper piecing patterns (or cut files) to help you get ready for Valentine's Days. We are using patterns that can be purchased at TBD's online store. If you like what you see along the hop today, TBDs also invites you to stop at their Facebook fan page and click like.

If you arrived from Mrs. Amanda's Blog then you are in the right place. If you are just here visiting and want to start from the top click HERE to go to Treasure Box Designs and the beginning of this Hop, or take a peek at the line up below.

TBDs patterns are fabulous! You get a great deal when you purchase one of TBDs files. For me, the best aspect of their files is that they are so versatile. Their is plenty of room to play with the designs. You can adapt the designs to your needs. Some designs have several pieces that you can pull apart to use what you need.

For example, I made this card using just one of the pups from the "Puppy Love" pattern (originally with 4 stacked dogs). I was able to create a digital stamp on the heart the pup is holding. I think the sentiment fits perfectly! I purposely made these cards with boys (or even men) in mind. Isn't the background paper cute? And Bonus! I included my favorite card making supply-->> FIBER! (that's the decor on the side of the card). Both of these cards are available in my online Cafe. Want a more feminine puppy? One with a bow in her "hair" and a frilly background? Let me know . . .

Can You Resist?!

I'll Be Your Valentine

Naughty boys have priorities too! (I have 2 myself--see blog candy!) The second card I made is also for a little boy. I started with TBDs pattern which had the boy holding and peaking over the heart-shaped box of chocolates. Thought I would play with it a little. I added the legs and feet, and bent his arm to hold the chocolate. I think the original file was a freebie, as I cannot find it on the site. Note the smeared chocolate on his face, hands, shirt! Isn't he cute?! The heart in the upper right is a digital stamp that I created myself. This card is also available in my online Cafe.

Caught . . . Uh-Oh!!

Oh Yummy!

Blog Valentine Candy
Yup! What's Valentine's Day without some sweets?! My 6 yr old son suggested giving away my 4 yr old son. He is sweet, but I need him!! For this hop's blog candy I will be drawing one name to win this Swarovski Topaz Color Crystals Vintage Style Earrings in Antique Brass hand made by Crystal Glow Design. I have purchased from Hana in the past. Her work is exquisite! These earrings are valued at over $18. I just think it would be nice for someone to dress themselves up (instead of their crafts). To be eligible for the drawing, become a follower of my blog and leave a comment below. Be sure I can get a hold of you somehow. As of now I can only ship to the continental US. (Sorry)

Monday, February10:00am through Friday, February 11 at 10:00pm

Join fans of Treasure Box Designs as we use their cut files to help you get ready for Valentine's Days. We are using files that can be purchased at TBD's online store. (Yup, there will be sweet Valentine candy!)

Lots of love is going around for Valentine's Day. I have made a few cards--just a few.

I made this card (trees/kissing) and want to know if you get it? Leave a comment below. --->>

I think it is so cute. My groom loves it--so he's getting this one for Vday. If you get it and you want one for your honey, let me know. I can put just one tree on the card too. Oh, how about scattering the letters in the tree like the favorite kid's book--Chicka Chicka Boom Boom?! You tell me how you like it, I'll create it.

Otherwise, there are quite a few Valentines cards available in my online shop. Here are few to "get you in the mood for love . . . . " Time is getting close though, so hurry!
And if you do not see what you want, do ask!!
