Shadow Boxes with Scrabble and Pazzles

October 10, 2014

This is a delightful, but quick creation that you can make with your paper scraps and the assistance of your Pazzles Cutter as well as the Craft Room. The Craft Room Library is filled with many options, making your creation process a breeze.

I have seen a similar craft like this on Pinterest and have wanted to make one. You can vary it in many ways. I used a beautiful Pumpkin cutting file from the Craft Room. I dropped the leaves and vine. I wanted a 3 dimensional look, so I made an additional oval for the center. I used the center oval from the file and the outline tool to get the size I wanted. Here you can see the progression from the original cut file to the end pumpkin, with green representing the added layer.

To give the Pumpkins a little more life, I chalked them, added some twine and adhered them with 3D Foam Squares from therm-o-web.

The end result is lovely. I made two shadow boxes. If you are interested in purchasing one, I do have them available.

You can use leaves, acorns, even create a shadow box for another holiday in the same manner. The options are endless and you can find all shapes in the amazing Pazzles’ Craft Room. I have to make one with butterflies. My favorite!
