Fun Fold Card Challenge

March 29, 2011

This is a Fun Fold Card Challenge at Pause, Dream, Enjoy hosted by sweet Janis. Thanks for hosting the challenge, Janis.

Whew! This was challenging. I imagined the idea in my mind and had to create it. It was fun to "work it out." It does need some tweaking. I really do not know if this fold exists--so I can't tell you the name. The scallops over lap slightly. What would you call it? Please leave your ideas.

Measurements & Instructions:
Cardstock Base 6” x 9” --Designed and Cut on Pazzles Inspiration personal cutting machine

Score card at 2 1/4” on both ends

Finished Size when Folded 6” x 4 1/2”

The yellow scallop and the blue flower were embossed (not purchased)

Add metal button (or other embellishment) and ribbon.

Optional: Add a small tag to the ribbon with sentiment

I did cut a second piece of the base and inserted it inside card. It did not fold together quite right. Hey this is a challenge, right? I added the inside piece to compliment the front. This is the same yellow as the scallops on the front of the card. When the card is opened the ribbon is seen inside. It does dress it up.

  1. You are so creative! I've never seen a card fold like this. I think you should name it! Petal Layers; Petal Fold; ..... Thanks for playing in my Fun Fold Card Challenge! Hugs! 🙂 Janis

  2. Krista,
Wow this is the very first time I was the first comment. Love your card. Don't know what the official name would be but I would call it an tri-fold interlocking card. I'm going to have to try and make one. TFS
