Celebrate the New Year with made with love (and paper). We took a little break and now we are ringing in the new year!!
Appropriately, we are centered on Celebration for our theme this January. Requirements for this month's project are letters, numbers and metal. We are paper crafters, but sometimes we like to mix things up. We are throwing in a bit of hardware this month! I think you will like what all the team members have created.
I created a "welcome spot" to greet my guests as they arrive to celebrate. Chance smiled on me with a coordinating table cloth to boot!
We start this off with paper: Pop, Fizz, Clink as well as the photo props and the numbers marking the new year, all cut from glitter paper! I designed the pieces myself with my Pazzles software.
Not required, but I threw in glass. We need Champagne Glasses if we plan to have a little "CLINK." Look at the mini glass ornaments that double as sweet place settings. These work perfectly for my display. No worries here in getting them to stand. I was really excited to find them!
Because we are paper crafters, I had to add a little more paper to my creation. I love the rolled paper spiraling out of the ornaments. It is the perfect flare for celebrating!
Now, the metal. I used floral wire to make the metal spirals. That stuff is not easy to work with. It is very flexible and once bent, cannot be straightened. I dressed up the wire with silver and iridescent gems. I put the gems on both sides of the spirals.
I am really happy with this creation. And it's nice to be back crafting for made with love (and paper).
