Today we are celebrating Jess! She is a ripe young age of 34!!

It's time to paaaaar-tay!! This is gonna be a HUGE PARTY and you are invited!

First off, I'm so excited to HOP with you! This is my inaugural blog hop and I give a big THANK YOU to Jess for including me. I am humbled to be included in this collection of wonderfully talented crafters who are your hosts today! I am blessed to have this opportunity.

Today's hop theme is all about BIRTHDAYS. Starting at KinderStampO there are over 40 blogs for your party hopping enjoyment. We will each display a birthday-related craft. And, yes, we will be serving up a lot of treats (blog candy) along the way.

Here is my creation. I specialize in hand made cards. I made these adorable fat free cupcake cards!

A Half Dozen Birthday Goodies

I used a file created by The Cutting Cafe. The file includes digital stamps and cutting files. The Cutting Cafe team has many adorable files for your personal use. The base of my cupcake card is an off-white, shimmery card stock. I opened the file in Adobe Illustrator to print the text (digital stamp) surrounding the cupcake. Next I cut the paper piecing using my Pazzles Inspiration personal cutter. (It's similar to a cricut, but oh-so-much more. Contact me if you want to learn about this wonderful tool toy.) I used embossed paper for the cake and frosting, layering the frosting on top of a cut of the full pattern to add dimension. It adds so much to the finished product! You can embellish them however you want, change the color of the icing and/or cake, and backing. The ribbon idea came from Cutting Cafe. My favorite cupcake is the one with the pearl sprinkles. MMmmmm . . . . Enjoy!
