Spiders Can Be Your Friend

September 12, 2011

Especially these cute little guys! How can you resist?!

I am so enjoying playing with The Digi Bistro. You gals are right at my speed. And your creations are inspiring. You make me feel like "I can do that."

The current "This to That Tuesday Challenge" is to make a Halloween Tag. I kind of started out in the internet craft world making tags. A friend invited me to join her Tag Design Team. As a card maker, tags were a bit out of my comfort zone. But my friend Denise helped me to "master" tags. I hope that my tag for this Halloween challenge will inspire you.

I made a pair of tags--large and small. A fun idea, huh? This particular tag is called a Grungy Scallop Tag and was designed by the fabulous Penny Duncan. The larger tag is 6 by 4 inches (at the widest). The smaller tag measures 4 by 2.5 inches. I had cut the smaller tag and thought it too small. Then I cut it bigger. And then . . . I thought about making a "matching pair." We need more spiders anyway!! I used the vines in place of spider webs. I tried to make it a little more friendly. Does it work?

(The spiders are 3D stickers, but I no longer have the packaging. Plus, I bought them last year so I cannot tell you the brand.)

You can purchase this tag set in my Etsy Shop.

Big Tag--Big Spider

Small Tag--Smaller Spider

  1. While I am not a spider fan except for Charolette; these spiders are soo cute. I think they must be related to Charolette. Glad to hear you are encouraged to play along with us. Hope you play again in this week's challenge.

  2. Your tags are AWESOME!!! Love the paper you used!!
