The "Craft" of Letter Writing

It seems that writing and sending a letter on real paper is a thing of the past. It's even rare to receive a greeting card in the mail. We have all turned to using the internet.

This week at The Cutting Cafe we are hoping to encourage you to pull out pen and paper and send a smile in the mail. To inspire you, we are working with a file that Regina created called "Let's Write a Letter." She has included a number of stationary options and two ways to package your stationary. I have chosen to use the flower stationary. I coordinated my paper selection to reflect the fun flower and I added note cards to this set. The cards are made using Everyday Shapes Window Card Tops.

Regina also includes a cut file for envelopes. I was short on time so I used envelopes that I had on hand. The words items are jpg files. This lets me open them in Adobe Illustrator. In AI I copied some of the "sentiments" and used the same font to make a tab that reads envelopes and one that reads cards (these are not included in the set). I used my Pazzles to cut the Tab Dividers and shortened them to use with my cards and envelopes.
