You're Invited: "LET'S ROCK AND ROLL" Blog Hop / Day 1

July 8, 2011

This blog hop is sponsored by Creative Kuts and KaDoodle Bug Designs.

We begin Friday, July 8th and Party through Sunday, July 10th.

You will be rolling to sites of very talented ladies that are so creative designing projects with the theme "'LET'S ROCK-N-ROLL." If you are coming from The Scrapbook Shop Around the Corner, you have Rock-N-Rolled to the right place. If you just joined us, you can go back to the beginning HERE. Everyone had a wonderful time planning this hop for your enjoyment with anticipation of smiles from their shared projects.

Including all the fantastic projects to inspire you, there are chances to win blog candy along the way. Included for your participation in this hop is a chance to win a grand prize of a new APPLE IPOD SHUFFLE. Then you can rock and roll to your own beat. The grand prize is sponsored by Creative Kuts (the first blog on the hop).

In order to be eligible for the grand prizes you must:
1. Leave a comment on every blog in the hop
2. Become follower of each ladies blog in the hop
Winner will be chosen from all comments from followers throughout the 3 days.

Blog Hop Line-Up Follows Pictures

Remember to come back each day between Friday, July 8th and Sunday, July 10th to enjoy new projects that will be listed daily.

I am so thankful to Cheryl at Creative Kuts for asking me to help host this fun blog hop! I am honored to be included in this group of talented women. Cheryl herself is a paper piecing Guru!! She designs her own patterns and cuts them by hand! She is now part of Creative Kuts. Now, both Creative Kuts and KaDoodle Bug Designs have amazing patterns to work with. Their patterns physically bring a smile to my face!! Paper piecing is new to me as of this past fall. I do hope that I do their patterns justice.

On to the party! All the blogs in the hop are using the same file from Creative Kuts--50's Rock-N-Roll Bears. Have you seen it? It is so fun!! I grew up watching the Fonz and Happy Days and my mind was rockin n' rollin with ideas. I decided to use the pattern to create a Birthday Party Set. I tried to include girls and boys--as the pattern has both and I can imagine a little girl hosting this party and inviting some of her best girl and boy friends. I have separated out as well as combined different elements of the pattern. I think you'll have a good time!

First I have to invite you to this 50's Themed Party. Look at these cute little bears! One invite is for the boys, one for the girls. There is actually a cut file for the jukebox, but I was pieced out! Be sure to look for the jukebox on the other blogs. It has a great deal of detail!

His & Hers Party Invitations

Let's start the party with some treats. Can I offer you a cupcake? I apologize that I have to encourage you to use your imagination. I did not have time to make cupcakes. These are his & her cupcake wrappers and a topper. Talk about Detail: Cheryl included records in the pattern. And thus, the topper has a record as decoration! Fun?

We're going to dress up the table a bit more with his and hers favor boxes. Here are those cute bears again! The box pattern was built into my Pazzles' software. I added the jukebox again and of course, the bears.
