Cards for a Cause -- Freedom from Domestic Violence

June 10, 2011

Welcome to the Royal Purple Freedom Blog Hop Friday, June 10th. This blog is in support of the fight against domestic violence. You should have arrived from Lori's Artsy Obession. To start at the beginning or see all the blog candy being offered be sure to check out Faith's Blog.

About 4.8 million intimate partner-related physical assaults and rapes occur every year while many more assaults and rapes go unreported entirely. Over 3 million children witness violence in their home each year and those who see and hear violence in the home suffer physically and emotionally. These statistics are sad and overwhelming, but help IS out there for those that choose to break the silence.

Together we can make a difference! Help us instill some hope where very may little exists. Your hand made, purple-themed card(s) with a hope filled message inside could make all the difference to a woman who is trying to make a fresh start. You do not know who will get your card, but your words can help her.

Your card will give YOU one chance to win the grand prize for this hop. What is it you ask? A prize basket chucked full of crafting goodies valued at more than $100!

In addition, together we can give 24 families a chance at recovery. All it takes is $1000 dollars! We will donate it to the Bradley Angle House--shelter for women and children. Want more chances to win the grand prize? Receive one additional entry for each $1 donation you make to the Bradley Angle House. Would you prefer 1 entry, 10 entries, or is 100 entries more of what you had in mind? It's all up to you!

Card Specifications:
Your card should be 5.5 inches by 4.25 inches
Place card in an envelope
Please handwrite a note of encouragement to a woman who will receive the card.
Cards must be postmarked by June 30th for inclusion in basket drawings and can be mailed to the following address:

  1. Ok...now I'm "back back"....Krista my friend...I think you should make me a set of these fabulous cards just because you love me. They are so cute. The "lil purple dress" is classic I adore it. And is the embossing on these cards done with your Pazzles...if so I think I might need that machine too WOW!!! Maybe I can convert my shoe fetish to a cutter fettish instead LOL. I love you so much my friend and am so glad to have your support and love in return! Well done!
