This January the Tag Team's Forum* challenge for Creative Paper Artists revolves around witner fun! A theme was not assigned, just the elements: ice skates, glittered snow, embossing, mittens and ribbon. I think our captain chose these elements because she knew it would speak right to me!! Thanks, Dee.
Here's my story: In Minnesota, The Weather Outside is Frightful, But the SKATING is Deligthful!
I pulled up a word-circle digital stamp I had created. The sentiment reads: Baby It's Cold Outside. I was happy that we were to include ice skates. We do our fair share of recreational ice skating in Minnesota. And In MN, we ice skate outside. So, Baby, it has to be cold! (I lived in Delaware for a year. The only ice skating there took place inside and we went around and around and around.)
I grew up in the 70s. We put pom poms on our skates! I had to include this in my tag for sentimental reasons. I wadded up some fiber. I used the same fiber in my "ribbon," taking liberty to extend the definition of ribbon to include fibers.
For Christmas Santa brought me a mini embosser. I used it to emboss the mittens. Just a little bit of flair. The tag is completed with the glittered snow surrounding the outside of the tag. I incliuded a picture of me blow-drying the "Stickles" that I used for the snow. (Hey, it is cold in MN. Any excuse to get a little extra heat!) I think the snowflake paper ties it all together wonderfully.
